I want to address a sad event that has taken place in the fundraising industry this past week.
A major fundraising product supplier closed their doors as of March 18th 2009.
The company, Giftco, has been the leading supplier in fundraising for 30 years.
They provided products to a majority of the fundraising companies in the
United States and Canada. Hundreds of employees and their families will be impacted by
this event- many of them are long time friends and business associates- and our hearts
go out to all those affected.
How will this affect Meadow Farms Fundraising?
Thankfully we will only be minimally affected. Over the past several years we minimized
our reliance on Giftco as a primary supplier and we developed our own sourcing and
products within the United States and abroad. Presently we have 4 items out of our
total product line of approximately 275 that we may have difficulty sourcing. We are
working on resolving this and will make a decision shortly on these items.
